Enrique Chiu, an artist from Tijuana, is on an bold mission; to color the longest mural within the world alongside the border wall that separates Mexico from the United States of America.

Aiming to unfold messages of positivity, world peace and bridge constructing, the challenge has seen Enrique enlisting the assistance of over 2600 creative volunteers from everywhere in the world, who be part of him at weekends to color. Sometimes Enrique creates outlines for individuals to fill in with colors that they select. “So far we have painted two kilometres in Tijuana, half a kilometre in the city of Tecate and half a kilometre in Mexicali. I want to make a change in the world like many people, and I think I’m achieving it. Through art and the will of people, a social and cultural movement is being made that can fill people with positive feelings and send messages in this huge canvas we have. Every weekend people, friends, and artists keep arriving to achieve this union,” Enrique advised Lonely Planet Travel News.

The challenge, known as the Mural of Brotherhood, formally launched in December 2016. The murals have been designed to be vibrant and attention-grabbing, particularly to individuals crossing the border by foot, and the challenge additionally features a 15-metre excessive sculpture that’s at the moment being labored on.
