PM May’s Brexit deal is nice news, says French finance minister

PARIS (Reuters) – French finance minister Bruno Le Maire mentioned on Thursday that British Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit deal was “good news”, including that it was in everybody’s curiosity that the Brexit course of proceeded easily.

“It is good news,” Le Maire instructed France 2 tv, including that May’s draft Brexit deal was improvement for each the French and the broader euro zone economic system.

Le Maire added he would however be “prudent” over the following steps within the Brexit course of, in order that any ultimate deal would respect varied guidelines on points equivalent to tax regulation.

On Wednesday, Prime Minister May gained the backing of her senior ministers for a draft European Union divorce deal, releasing her to deal with the way more perilous battle of getting parliament to approve the settlement.
