The 26-year-old performer, whose actual title was Malcolm McCormick, was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on Sept 7 and the reason for dying was deferred pending a probe.

The coroner’s workplace mentioned McCormick died “from mixed drug toxicity,” with the highly effective opioid fentanyl together with cocaine and alcohol found in his system.

“The manner of death was certified as an accident,” it added.

The Pittsburgh native and one-time associate of pop-star Ariana Grande had launched his newest album “Swimming” days earlier than his dying and had been set to embark on a brand new tour.

“I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will,” Grande mentioned in an emotional Instagram put up after his dying.

“We talked about his. So many time. I’m so mad, I’m so sad I don’t know what to do,” she added.

McCormick had been open up to now about his battle with medication and his music usually dealt along with his melancholy and drug use.

Several artists, together with Chance the Rapper, ScHoolboy Q and Ty Dolla $ign, paid tribute to him final week at a profit concert in Los Angeles.
