UK govt take care of DUP nonetheless in place – May’s spokesman

LONDON (Reuters) – A deal wherein Northern Ireland’s Democractic Unionist Party props up British Prime Minister Theresa May’s government continues to be in place, a spokesman for May mentioned on Wednesday.

The DUP has abstained on a number of votes on the government’s finance invoice this week, prompting questions over whether or not the so-called confidence and provide association had been deserted.

“It is our position that the confidence and supply is still in place,” May’s spokesman mentioned.
