AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE
German director Thomas Ostermeier places a gritty, meta-theatrical twist on Henrik Ibsen’s 19th-century play about a health care provider who discovers that the consuming water in his spa city is contaminated by industrial waste and faces persecution from his neighborhood when he exposes this.
The Schaubuhne Berlin manufacturing will function riffs from rock star David Bowie and produce within the viewers through the climax to take part in a rowdy debate.

NICO MUHLY SPEAKS VOLUMES
The New York City-based classical music composer (beneath) makes his concert debut in Singapore with a repertoire named after his first solo album, a lot of which attracts on on a regular basis duties and interactions.
In this 90-minute present, he collaborates with the likes of Singapore-based pianist Lim Yan and percussionist Ramu Thiruyanam.

LA VOIX HUMAINE
In this one-woman chamber opera directed by Ivan Heng, United States-based Singaporean soprano Jennifer Lien performs Elle, who is making an attempt desperately to maintain her former lover on the phone. She is accompanied by pianist Shane Thio (each above).
The opera, which premiered in 1959, was written by French musician Francis Poulenc and primarily based on an earlier play by Jean Cocteau. This weekend’s model is a part of the VCH Presents sequence programmed by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra’s mother or father, Singapore Symphony Group.

(RE)COLLECT: THE MAKING OF OUR ART COLLECTION
This exhibition charts the expansion of Singapore’s nationwide artwork assortment, from some 110 works in 1960 to about 10,000 works at the moment.
On show are greater than 120 works from the gathering, together with native pioneer Georgette Chen’s Family Portrait (1954), Malaysian painter Latiff Mohidin’s Mindscape 17 (1983) and sculptures by Kim Lim and Cheo Chai Hiang.
