European business leaders say Brexit settlement should urgently be found

LONDON (Reuters) – European business leaders mentioned a Brexit settlement should urgently be found as uncertainty over Britain’s exit from the European Union was resulting in much less funding and undermining progress.

“We are concerned that time is tight to avoid a no-deal Brexit, which would damage both the UK and the EU27 economies,” the European Round Table of Industrialists group mentioned in an announcement following a gathering between a few of its members and British Prime Minister Theresa May in London.

It added: “A future EU/UK partnership must have uninterrupted and frictionless flow of goods, such as with a customs union, and create a stable and fair regulatory environment.”
