DISTRICT DESIGN DIALOGUE – HOLLAND VILLAGE

Ten black-and-white terrace homes at Chip Bee Gardens are enjoying host to a collection of installations, exhibitions and performances as a part of Singapore Design Week.

The Stage at 14, Jalan Kelabu Asap will current acoustic classes by varied singer-songwriters resembling Weish tomorrow and the likes of Adia Tay and Abby Simone X MMLD on Sunday. Performances are ticketed at $15 and could be bought at www.ddd.sg/homes/stage.

The Stage may even function a sound artwork set up by musician and photographer Axel Serik and immersive digital artwork reveals, resembling Sound Dining by musician Ritz Ang and artist Yangermeister, the place they substitute meals with music in an set up that mimics the fine-dining expertise.

Over at 10 Jalan Kelabu Asap, The Blackout Hangout options digital music acts curated by DJ Zig Zach, together with Giuseppe G, Eric Rogers and Muto Masashi.

REBEL YELL WITH WEELIKEME & KiDG

The rock music equal of indie membership event Poptart returns. Expect every part from exhausting rock and punk to psychedelic and glam rock, all housed throughout the newly-opened Boat Quay shophouse bar, The Nanyang Club.

TRUE COLOURS CONCERT

The True Colours Concert brings collectively a few of the Asia-Pacific area’s most completed performing artists with disabilities.

The line-up consists of Canadian virtuoso violinist Adrian Anantawan (above), who was born and not using a proper hand; and France’s Got Talent 2016 second runner-up Filipina Alienette Coldfire, who was born blind.

The event is introduced by Japan-based philanthropic organisation The Nippon Foundation and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation, and produced by Very Special Arts Singapore.

Hip-hop and concrete music take centre stage for the second weekend of Gastrobeats – a collection of gigs which can be a part of annual sustainable light-art competition i Light Marina Bay.

Rising Singaporean rappers Yung Raja (left) and Fariz Jabba (proper) take the stage to spit quickfire rhymes tonight at eight.15pm, whereas the likes of Akeem Jahat and Subhas carry out tomorrow and Sunday respectively.
