You won’t recognise Mr Sarjit Singh or Mr Swaran Singh in the event you see them on the road. But of their uniforms, the 2 brothers, aged 57 and 54, had for a few years been icons of Singapore.
For 26 years, they labored as doormen on the Raffles Hotel and have been an immediately recognisable sight on the gravel driveway of the Beach Road establishment.
